Get ready for a unique journey in Dalsland, where you get to experience beautiful nature, historical sights and nostalgia all in one place. Take the train between Mellerud and Bengtsfors and admire the open landscape and enter the magical forest that surrounds you on the way.
You will also pass HÃ¥verud's famous aqueduct, an opportunity to take photos and enjoy the fantastic view of Nils Ericsson's boat channel and locks. For a complete experience of Dalsland, combine the train with a boat trip on the Dalsland Canal.

Train ticket
Our train tickets are easiest to buy at Bengtsfors station or on the train. Children aged 3–12 travel for half price and you can bring a bicycle if space permits at a cost of 50 SEK.

DVVJ's own train tickets (purchased on board, at Bengtsfors station or via our website)
Västtrafik's card within Zone C
SJ tickets purchased via the SJ app
Tickets booked via Boka Dalsland
The price of our own train tickets varies depending on how far you want to travel. See the zone division and prices below, the price only shows one way. Example:
Mellerud-HÃ¥verud = 1 zone (round trip will be 2 trips, 1 zone)
Bengtsfors-Mellerud = 4 zones (round trip is 2 x 4 zones)
Bengtsfors-HÃ¥verud = 4 zones (round trip is 2 x 4 zones)
